Seasonal Maintenance and Winterizing

Seasonal care for patios, decks, kitchens, fire features and plantings, including winterizing water, gas and irrigation lines.

Outdoor spaces last longer with a little attention. In spring, surfaces are cleaned and checked, kitchens are tested and plants are refreshed. In fall, leaves are removed, water and irrigation lines are drained, furniture is protected and fire features are covered. Nashville freezes and thaws repeatedly, so winterizing makes a real difference to plumbing and joints.

A seasonal visit includes a checklist for each season. Spring covers cleaning, inspecting joints, edges and railings, testing gas, lights and appliances and refreshing mulch. Fall covers draining water features and irrigation, clearing drains and leaves, protecting kitchens and grills and checking for cracks. A report lists any repairs worth doing. Visits can be scheduled once or yearly. A little routine goes a long way. We leave you a one-page checklist for each season so you can do simple tasks yourself between visits, such as sweeping, clearing drains, checking lights and covering furniture. If you prefer, we handle it all and send photos after each visit. We also note repairs that are best done before winter, such as sealing joints or fixing loose railings, and we keep a record of what we find over the years so patterns are easy to see. Regular care helps patios, decks and outdoor kitchens look good and work well for years.

How it works

Our process, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Call and describe your yard

You tell us how you want to use your outdoor space. One call sets up a visit that fits your day.

  2. 02

    Walk and measure

A designer walks the yard, measures, notes slope, drainage, sun, trees and utilities and listens to your goals.

  3. 03

    Design and approve

You see a layout, materials and a written scope with the base, drainage, structures and schedule before anything begins.

  4. 04

Mark utilities and prepare the base

Utility marking is requested, the area is excavated and a compacted stone base and drainage are built first.

  5. 05

    Build and finish

Surfaces, walls, structures and features are built in a clear order, with checks and photos along the way.

  6. 06

    Walk through and enjoy

The site is cleaned up, the space is explained on a walk-through and care tips are shared.
